Why is everyone so overwhelmed right now?
It's summer (sort of at least) and we're allowed to see our friends and family again. Shouldn't we all be super stress-resilient after making it through 2020 and the first half of 2021?
The thing is, many of us have explored new ways of looking after ourselves, whether that was doing home workouts, investing in extra nice skincare, cooking more. But the stressors have also been relentless. And the occasional bubble bath is not really a remedy for the constant background noise of uncertainty and worry.
Plus, I assume that dealing with what's going on in the world is only one of the things you're juggling right now, am I right ? What about the usual workload of an (often time and space independent) job or business, parenting and/ or caring for parents, social causes and responsibilities, trying to keep your house liveable, personal projects, worrying about the environment, and trying to beat your mayonnaise addiction (ok, maybe that last one is just me).
What I'm saying is: your shoulders are loaded with stuff, . So I would love for you to take a minute to just reflect on that and then thank yourself for all the difficult decisions you've made recently, all the tasks you've ticked off, all the tears you've wiped away (your own and others) and all the times you've just gotten up and kept going.
You're doing a good job.
If you're struggling to see that or would like some help with shifting that massive load on your shoulders, come and check out my programme Overcome Overwhelm. Throughout these 4 weeks, you'll learn about all my personal and professional tricks of putting yourself first. Because that, my friend, is the best way to create a resilient basis to everything else on top.
If you have any questions about this programme you can book a call with me to discuss whether it's right for you or simply email me at email@example.com and I'll get back to you asap x
